One of the fun things about doing CelebriGum is overhearing the conversations on the street below.
"Excuse me, miss, do you know where I can take umbrella lessons? I can't figure out how to work this thing. No matter what I do, it's just a stick with flaps."Every afternoon I stand by a second floor window in the Ed Sullivan Theater and take mediocre photos of guests as they enter and leave the Late Show with David Letterman. In the foreground of each shot is a wad of old gum I noticed on the window ledge. There may be better paparazzi photos on the internet, but this is the only place you'll find the juxtaposition of celebrities and hardened gum. Enjoy!
"A perfectly silly, genius idea" -- David Letterman

I see you're messing with our minds again with mixed chronology photos - rain, no rain, SUV, car, etc.
ReplyDeleteNot really. Those four photos are in chronological order, as it happens. The car was parked behind the SUV. I have no problem with going out of order for a fantastic comedic/artistic effect, but it didn't happen this time.
DeleteI'm just messing with your mind in general.
I'm pretty sure I see some abandoned pants behind the press railing. Hmm, that might be a good idea for a mid season replacement...
DeleteCBS is already planning the spin-off. "Abandoned Pants: Miami".
DeleteYou guys are mixing comedy universes that were never intended to intersect. Your hubris may lead to disaster.
DeleteI'm sure it'll be fine, really, but nobody but me will know what you're talking about.
Maybe it's better that way.
DeleteThis is the best comic strip ever.
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean I get to be part of Comic Con next year?
Delete(Or is it ComicCon? Or ComiCon? Don't know. Not really my thing.
CO'Mic-CO'N
DeleteOh, wait. We're not doing that anymore...
It's all good as long as I never have to hear that umbrella song by Rihanna again for the rest of my life...
