Hugh Jackman

More trouble for the embattled U.S. Postal Service.

Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe has announced that the costly, unpopular "Priority Mail Delivered By Hugh Jackman" program will shut down as of November 1st.

Few postal customers opted for the $1000 service, despite the glamour of having important documents delivered by the star of "Kate & Leopold," "Wolverine," and "The Boy from Oz."  Jackman himself came to regret signing on, reportedly describing the idea as "stupid" and "a huge intrusion on my schedule."

Under questioning by the press, Postmaster Donahoe admitted that the "Postmaster Donahoe Licks Your Envelope" program is also under review.
