Jamie Oliver makes CelebriGum history!

Most celebrities take the elevator from their upper floor dressing rooms down to ground level when they leave the Ed Sullivan Theater.  Not Jamie Oliver.  He came down the stairs, and encountered me as I waited at my second floor window.

I smiled and said "Hello…when you go out, could you do me a favor and look up at me?"

Hoping to seal the deal, I added, "I take pictures of the guests going in and out of the theater, and each picture has this old piece of gum in the foreground."

Jamie glanced at the gum.  He seemed unmoved.  But he said "I'll do my best."

He was a man of his word.  Ladies and gentlemen, the first CelebriGum celebrity awareness and eye contact.

Then everyone else had to see what Jamie found so interesting on the second floor.

Thanks, Jamie!

It's just like that movie "The Guminator":
"On Tuesday, April 5th, 2011, the Skynet Celebrities became self-aware."

Nice job, CelebriGum and Jamie Oliver! :)

  2. Is this like when Brian Epstein discovered the Beatles? It just seems like it could all really take off now...

Or when Moses finally discovered OnStar, but died before reaching his exit?

Or when Lady Gaga mistakenly showed up for a "Meat & Greet" at the VMAs

There, there, Karl... There, there. (Or should I say, "MR. BOEHNER!")

    ;)

  14. By the way Steve, CG viewers will assume you weren't shoving a donut in your mouth while taking this photo. I've just figured out who Mr. Oliver is, and he would have climbed the wall like Spiderman to rip that donut out of your mouth.

I recently began calling CelebriGum "CG," too, Karl... Sweet! :)

  16. Great minds think alike. It's just too much to type out the whole thing. Steve should've thought of a shorter name if he wanted all of us to type the whole thing. I blame him.

By the way Steve, look at the LS staffer in your photo wearing the black suit looking up at you with the fist - and consider that our gesture to you on this issue. We'll trust that you are shivering in your boots.

That's good! (Because sadly, "Celeb-G" could be used to describe a multitude of these celebrities who are engaged in various "gangsta-like" shenanigans, nowadays...)
